The May 10th issue of Law Talk has an article written by John Land on Competition Law issues.Merger negotiations can raise some unexpected and serious competition law issues. A vendor giving a restraint of trade that is wider than necessary to protect goodwill can breach s27 Commerce Act. A vendor agreeing to refer customer enquiries to a purchaser before settlement can breach s30.
