Bankside Chambers is delighted to welcome James Cairney as its newest member.

Prior to joining us, James was a commercial litigation partner at Meredith Connell. He spent nearly a decade at Meredith Connell, and we are thrilled that the new chapter in his career is with us. James is an experienced regulatory and commercial litigator. He acts for regulators in litigation relating to the consumer, financial and transport sectors, and for of a range of private and government clients in relation to workplace health and safety, both litigation and advisory. He is also formerly a Crown prosecutor and has prosecuted many jury trials involving serious criminal offending.
