Former assistant to David Williams QC gains promotion from assignment defence strategy in Egypt

In the latest Egypt case James Herbert was the lawyer tho first identified the assignment defence. The Partners involved in the case were dubious about this defence but James eventually persuaded them to run it. The defence was upheld - see attached GAR report. As a result of this case he was at once promoted to Senior Associate at the firm.
